TRANSLATION PROCESS IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

The history of translation dates back to ancient times. Since ancient times, peoples speaking different languages used to communicate with each other through a translator. It was difficult to do without a translator. There is a need for translation in trade, diplomatic relations and cultural relations. The first translators of Central Asia were Abu Nasr Farabi, Abu Ali ibn Sina, Abu Rayhan Beruni, Mahmud Kashghari, Mahmud Zamakhshari.

Until the 20th century, the word "translation" was used only for the translation of historical, philosophical, literary and artistic works. The term "tilmoch" is used in Turkic peoples, "dolmetechen" in German, and "interpreter" in English and French. The ideas expressed in the theory of translation have acquired a general meaning in this regard.

In Uzbekistan, bold ideas about the theory of translation began to be expressed. Asqad Mukhtar, Jumaniyaz Sharipov, Gaybulla Salomov, and Ninel Vladimirova have published treatises and articles discussing the theory of translation.

In this article, our main task is to study and illuminate the stages of development of the translation process in Uzbekistan and the translations and opinions expressed by the scientists who contributed to it, and to achieve scientific results.
