ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECT OF CEMENT CONCRETE DENSITY ON ITS COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH

Cement-based materials are widely used in the construction of buildings and structures. However, the known methods for determining the compressive strength of concrete, lasting 28 days, are not fast enough, and the results in many cases are inaccurate. This complicates the work of factory and construction laboratories and is unacceptable for the market, as accelerated testing is often required. In current construction practice, the cement grade is not determined on construction sites and you have to believe the data from the material passport. An individual also does not have the opportunity to check the quality of cement in the "field conditions". To control the cement grade, it is necessary to knead the cement-sand mixture, tamp the mixture into special molds and send them to a place with normal temperature and humidity conditions for 28 days. After that, test the cement samples using a press and, based on the result of the compressive strength, determine the brand of cement.
