Abstract

This article investigates the characteristics of scientific and technical terms and evaluates the effectiveness of a proposed system of exercises for teaching technical vocabulary in the Russian language to THE students. Scientific and technical terms are characterized by their specificity, precision, and context-dependent meanings, which present unique challenges for non-native speakers due to their complexity and the nuanced understanding required for proper usage. These terms are integral for students in non-linguistic faculties as they facilitate access to scientific information and enable active participation in science, industry, and public life.
