INDICATORS OF SOME COMPONENTS OF THE METABOLIC SYNDROME IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE

Seventy-three women and forty-six men with chronic kidney disease aged 20-69 years were examined. They studied the average blood pressure levels, body weight, waist circumference, and immunoreactive insulin. During the study, modern methods of examination and diagnostic criteria recommended for identifying the components of the metabolic syndrome were used. It was found that the average levels of the studied components of the metabolic syndrome in women are higher than in men. At the same time, it is shown that the average levels of all studied indicators are higher than the generally accepted reference values. The results of the work indicate the expediency of early detection and correction of the main components of metabolic c syndrome to prevent and treat chronic kidney disease.

IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SKIN ROLLER COMPRESSION

The study is devoted to the theoretical modeling of the residual moisture in leather, taking into account the phenomenon of its contact interaction with working rolls. Analytical formulas were derived that describe the patterns of changes in moisture content during the process of roller squeezing of leather. A theoretical model of residual moisture in leather during roller squeezing was developed. It was determined that with increasing roll radius and initial thickness of leather, the residual moisture content increases. It was revealed that with an increase in the initial moisture content of leather, its residual moisture content increases and asymptotically approaches a certain value.

OPERATION PROCESS IN AN ASYMMETRIC TWO-ROLL MODULE

The study is devoted to the analysis of the condition of capture in a two-roll module. A two-roll module is considered, in which the rolls are located relative to the vertical with a tilt to the right, the lower roll is a driven one, the roll diameters are unequal, the rolls have elastic coatings of different stiffness (so, the friction coefficients of the rolls are not equal over the material layer), the material layer is tilted downwards. It was found that the sum of the contact angles and the sum of the capture angles does not depend on the tilt of feeding the layer of material to the line of centers and on the tilt of the upper roll relative to the vertical. It has been established that the conditions for the capture of a layer of material by a pair of rolls with elastic coatings are determined by the radii of the rolls, the distance between the rolls and the coefficients of friction of the rolls over the material layer.

MEASUREMENT OF THE RESIDUAL MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE MATERIAL DURING ROLLER COMPACTION

The study is devoted to the analytical description of the residual moisture content of the material during roller pressing. It was found that the amount of fluid extracted at the beginning of the compression zone grows faster, then, the growth rate decreases, and at the end of the compression zone, the amount of extracted fluid stabilizes. It was established that the patterns of change in the extracted fluid in the restoration zone depend on the angle that determines the position of the point where the fluid changes direction.
